Editing workflow
Add text to a video with timed, readable titles
To add text to a video in Kublaro, open Text, type a title and click Add title. Set its start time, duration, size and top, center or bottom position. Titles appear at the chosen times and are rendered into the MP4. The editor supports up to 10 manually entered titles, with 120 characters per title.

Before you start
Finish the main clip order and select the final aspect ratio before timing text. Write short lines that make sense without sound. These controls add manual titles; they do not transcribe speech or generate automatic subtitles.
A practical example
Name the product after the opening shot
For a 15-second product video, set a title's Start to 2 and Duration to 3. It is scheduled from second 2 through second 5. Use one short product name, choose a size that stays readable and check that its position does not hide the product.
How to do it in Kublaro
Build the visual sequence
Arrange and trim your clips first. Select the final 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 format because it affects title placement and readability.
Enter the title
Open Text, write the line and click Add title. Keep it concise and within the 120-character limit.
Set timing
Adjust Start and Duration in seconds. The title uses time across the entire edit, so check it again after reordering or trimming clips.
Choose size and position
Select S, M or L and Top, Center or Bottom. Play the title over the actual scene to check contrast and whether it obscures a face or product.
Export and read
Save and export MP4. Watch at the size viewers will use and confirm every title is legible and remains visible long enough to read.
Check your final MP4
- Each title is spelled correctly, including accents and product names.
- The title stays on screen long enough and does not overlap another title by accident.
- The exported crop and title position leave the main subject visible.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- Using title controls as automatic subtitles
- Enter and time each title yourself. For full speech transcription or subtitle files, this editor's current title tools are not that workflow.
- Changing clip order after timing text
- Titles use global timeline times. If the underlying scene moves, adjust the title's Start to match the new sequence.
Questions about this workflow
- How many text titles can I add?
- An edit supports up to 10 manual titles, each with at most 120 characters. Each title has its own start time, duration, size and position.
- Can I automatically subtitle spoken audio?
- Automatic speech transcription and subtitle generation are not currently supported. You can manually enter and time short on-screen titles.
- Are the titles included in the downloaded video?
- Yes. The export renders the titles into the MP4 at their configured times. Review the final file to check spelling, timing and placement.
