Make a square video with a 1:1 timeline
To make a square video in Kublaro, select 1:1 in Export aspect ratio, arrange your media and export the montage. The square MP4 is 960 × 960 at 30 fps. Fill frame (crop) uses a centered crop and can remove edges of wide or tall sources. Fit entire clip preserves the full source with black borders inside the square.

Before you start
Select shots where the important subject fits near the center. For a square version of an existing portrait or landscape edit, plan to review every scene and title after changing the frame. Keep the original media in the project so you can revise the sequence.

A square product sequence
Use three five-second shots: product overview, detail and use. With direct cuts, they produce a 15-second square edit. Place a brief title where it avoids the product. A wide original can lose its left and right edges; a tall original can lose its top and bottom.

Choose the source shots
Add clips or photos and check the subject inside the square. Use Fit entire clip to retain edge details with black borders or Fill frame (crop) to cover the frame.
Edit the rhythm
Trim extra time and reorder the scenes. For still images, adjust Image duration so each image has enough time to be understood.
Review titles and music
Check text placement against the square crop and balance audio. Avoid putting key information where the subject already occupies the frame.
Export the square version
Save, export MP4 and inspect the 960 × 960 result. Confirm the receiving service's current upload requirements before publishing.

- The square crop preserves all information needed to understand each shot.
- Titles and product details are readable at the intended display size.
- The final exported duration and sound match the planned version.
Common mistakes and how to fix them
- Changing the ratio without checking source edges
- Square is a new composition. It is not a guarantee that every pixel from a wide or tall original will remain visible.
- Assuming the exported file is 1080 × 1080
- The current square timeline export is 960 × 960. If a delivery specification requires another size, confirm that requirement before choosing this workflow.
